1. RULES:

1.1 The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) for 2001-2004, the prescriptions of US Sailing, the ISSA Procedural Rules, the PCISA Supplemental Rules, the rules of the CFJ class; and this Notice of Race (except as any of these are changed by the Sailing Instructions); and by these Sailing Instructions.

1.2 Each boat will be required to display issued bow numbers at the prescribed position

1.3 Each boat must display CF numbers and current year sticker. Boats without current valid registration will not be allowed in the rotation and the team supplying the boat will be unable to sail.

2. ELIGIBILITY, ENTRY & ENTRY FEE

2.1 These Regattas are open to High School Teams who are current members of the PCISA. Eligible teams may enter by filing an entry with the designated host club, using the accompanying entry form.

2.2 An entry fee of $5.00 per sailor will apply. This fee is to cover the cost of trophies and bow numbers

2.3 Eligible schools may enter as many teams as they chose. If your school does not have sufficient sailors to form the necessary teams, we will attempt to "mix and match" sailors from different schools.

3. BOAT:

3.1 Each entered team is responsible for providing one class legal CFJ with current valid registration stickers, and one class legal set of sails (main and jib). There will be no rotations in SoCals #1-5

3.2 It is the intent to sail all teams simultaneously. It is not the intent to have an A&B division.

4. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

4.1 Registration and boat check-in: 9:00-10:00 AM
4.2 Competitor's meeting 10:00 AM
4.3 First Warning 11:00 AM
4.4 Deadline for Starting Last Race 3:30 PM
4.5 Awards 5:00 PM

5. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

5.1 Sailing Instructions will be available upon registration at Host Club.

6. RACING AREA

6.1 Racing Area will be determined by Host Club and provided in Sailing Instructions

7. SCORING

7.1 The low point scoring system, rule A2, will apply, with one full rotation scheduled of which five races must be completed to constitute a series. Each yacht's score will be the sum of her score in all races

8. AWARDS & TROPHIES

8.1 There will be trophies for the first three finishers, excluding any skipper who has competed as Varsity A or B in any 10% qualifier during the 2000-2004 season.

9. LUNCH

9.1 Plan on bringing your own lunch and drinking water
