Format: The event will be an all-day team racing clinic and mini
regatta. Full 3-boat teams as well as partial teams of 1 or 2 boats
are allowed.
Topics: The clinic will cover the basic principals of team
racing, including the fundamental maneuvers and the thought process
behind their implimentation. Coaching will be provided by varsity
sailors on the Cal Sailing Team. Teams/sailors without TR
experience are encouraged to attend.
Schedule: Saturday, February 21, 2004
9:00 - Report Time and Registration
10:00 - Skipper's Meeting
10:15 - Meeting and on-land clinic begins
11:30 - On-the-water Clinic begins
12:45 - Lunch
1:30 - Racing with on-the-water coaching
4:30 - Clinic wrap-up talk and go home
Cost/Registration: $40 per team (6 sailors) or $8/sailor,
including lunch and coaching. Registration forms are available at
www.encinal.org/junior_program.html. Please register by
Wednesday, February 18th.
