Big Game Regatta (PCISA NorCal#1)

Nov 23-24, 2002 REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Over 120 sailors -- 21 high school varsity CFJ teams (84+ sailors) and 8
junior varsity CFJ teams (36+ sailors) -- competed in the Big Game/NorCal#1
PCISA regatta this weekend.
Saturday: Light to medium wind (3-8 knots) - 6 races completed for both
A and B divisions. Sunday : No wind to very light winds in the morning.
Races were delayed until after 12:30 due to no/light wind. As varsity A
division teams waited on the water for wind, a radio controlled model
Laser sailboat sailed through the fleet looking for for a race... no
takers from the NorCal fleet. Light winds picked up around 1:00 p.m.
(3-6 knots) and 4 races were completed in all fleets and divisions.
PYSF added a new feature to this regatta: real-time race commentary
broadcasts to the on-shore spectators during all of the races. Many
thanks to our on the water commentators: Skip Shapiro (Saturday) and
