ELIGIBILITY: Any PCISA school is eligible to compete provided they register before Dec. 12, and have a complete Waiver of Liability Form before racing on Sat. Dec. 15th. Schools may enter both Varsity and JV teams, however; only the Varsity team score will be used to determine the Northern California HS champion.

ENYRY FEE: $10 per sailor. Entry fee includes racing, Saturday Pizza after racing and Sunday trophy ceremony. Checks may be made payable to St. Francis Yacht Club.

BOATS: Each team is responsible for providing one class legal, currently registered CFJ and sails for the event. Bow numbers will be issued at time of registration; however, if you already have a bow number on your boat please include that on the registration form and we will most likely keep you as this number. Boats will be launched off the Dinghy Dock of the St. Francis YC and all boats will rotate off of Golden Gate Yacht Club.

RULES: The race will be governed by the US Sailing Association 2001-2004 Racing Rules, the ISSA and PCISA Procedural Rules and the regatta sailing instructions (SI). A lifejacket or other adequate personal flotation device shall be worn by all competitors while racing. All boats shall have tied to their boat, and accessible, a fifteen foot bowline. These will be requirements as per Sailing Instruction 1.2 & 1.3. We also strongly urge the use of dry suits or full wetsuits.

FORMAT: Races will be sailed using an A and B Division team from each high school. High schools without a complete team will be scored, as a DNS in the division not sailed. Boats will sail in a round robin format. A minimum of 3 races per division will constitute a regatta.

FLEETS: In the event that there are more than 24 registered boats, varsity and JV fleets will have separate starts.

ON-LINE REGISTRATION: e-mail or fax form to Anika Leerssen or mail to Race Office, St. Francis Yacht Club, On the Marina, San Francisco, CA 94123. It would really, really, really help us if you could get your registration form to us by Wednesday, December 12th, 2001. Please note: Each team must have a complete / signed waiver of liability form before they are allowed to compete.

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: Copies of the SIs will be available during regatta registration.
