1. RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) for 1997-2000, the prescriptions of US SAILING, the ISSA Procedural rules, the rules of the CFJ Class; and this Notice of Race (except as any of these are changed by the Sailing Instructions); and by these Sailing Instructions.
1.2 Each boat will be required to display issued bow numbers at the prescribed position.
1.3 Each boat must display CF numbers and a current year sticker. Boats without a current valid registration will not be allowed in the rotation and the team supplying the boat will be unable to sail.
2. ELIGIBILITY, ENTRY & ENTRY FEE
2.1 The regatta is open to current members of the PCISA. Eligible teams may enter by filing an entry
with NHYC by Saturday, December 2, 2000 (postmark). Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Race Committee.
2.2 An entry fee of $25 per team will apply. After December 2 the entry fee will be $35 per team.
2.3 Eligible PCISA schools may enter one varsity team (A & B division). JV teams from eligible schools may be entered only when pre-approved by the PCISA. For JV team approval contact Tim Hogan at (714) 641-9337.
3. FORMAT AND BOATS
3.1 The regatta will be sailed in two divisions. The PCISA will seed entries into a gold division and a silver division.
3.2 Each team is responsible for providing one class legal CFJ with current valid registration stickers, and one class legal set of sails (main & jib). All boats will be entered into a round robin format within the division in which the team is sailing.

5. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
5.1 Sailing Instructions will be available upon registration at NHYC.
6. RACING AREA
6.1 The racing area will be in the turning basin off NHYC.
7. SCORING
7.1 The Low-point scoring system, rule A2, will apply, with one full rotation scheduled of which 3 races in
each division must be completed to constitute a series. Each yachts score will be the sum of her score for all races.
8. TROPHIES
8.1 Trophies will be awarded to skipper and crew placing 1st. through 5th as soon as possible after the last race.
9. LUNCH
9.1 Box lunches will be available at $6.00 per person and must be pre-ordered by December 2, 2000. Lunch includes a sandwich, drink, fruit, cookie or candy bar.
10. HOUSING
10.1 Limited housing will be available on a first come first serve basis to the teams traveling the greatest distance. Please indicate on the entry form if you desire housing. We will be unable to accommodate requests for housing on late entries.
